Welcome to the Romeo Engineering Site Specifications page. Navigation We have endeavored to make our site easy and useful for all who access our web site. To navigate around the site you should click on the links in the vertical bar at the left of each page. When you click on these links they will display the page and may show an additional set of secondary navigation underneath the chosen area of the site. This is the navigation device to quickly select a new "sub section" of the area you are currently located in. There is also a row of navigation "tabs" at the top of the screen in some pages.
The Romeo Engineering website has been designed to function on Java-enabled browsers, and is best viewed with either Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0or higher, or Netscape Communicator 4.0 or higher. Using earlier versions will result in lost functionality and changes in the appearance of the website.
The Romeo Engineering website is designed to be viewed with monitors that display a screen resolution of 800 x 600 and 16 bit color. We recommend that your monitor setting support this screen size or higher for the best viewing experience.
Changing
your monitor settings
The Romeo Engineering website has been customized for a monitor setting of 800 pixels wide by 600 pixels high. If you are seeing scroll bars on your frames, you have your monitor set to 640 pixels by 480 pixels and you will have to change your settings to a higher screen resolution. For PC 1. Minimize all of your open windows by pressing the Windows button on your keyboard and 'M'. 2. Go to your Start menu located at the bottom left hand of the screen. 3. Choose 'Settings > Control Panel'
4. A 'Control Panel' pop up window will appear. 5. Double click on 'Display' 6. A 'Display Properties' pop up window will appear
7. The 'Display Properties' utilizes a tab system to choose different properties. Choose the 'Settings' tab. 8. In the 'Desktop Area' you will see a slider. If it is set on 640 x 480 pixels, move the slider to the right. The next setting up is 800 x 600 pixels. Click 'OK'.
In this window, you will also see your 'Color Palette'. Be sure that this is on 'High Color (16 Bit)' or higher. 9. You will be asked to confirm these settings, click 'OK'. 10.
Your screen will go blank and reset to a higher screen resolution. If you want
to go back to 640 x 480 after browsing the website, repeat these actions and
choose 640 x 480 pixels. If you are experiencing color fluctuations, it is
advised that the computer be restarted to facilitate new settings.
For Macintosh 1. Go to the Apple Menu located at the top right hand of the screen. 2. Choose 'Control Panels > Monitors & Sound' 3. A 'Monitors & Sound' pop up window will appear. 4. Under 'Resolution', double click 800 x 600, 75Hz
5. This will apply the resolution change. If you want to go back to 640 x 480 after browsing the website, repeat these actions and choose 640 x 480, 67Hz |
